But the moment we feel trapped, enraged, or rejected, we are vulnerable to activating old maps and to follow their directions. Change begins when we learn to "own" our emotional brains. That means learning to observe and tolerate the heartbreaking and gut-wrenching sensations that register misery and humiliation. Only after learning to bear what is going on inside can we start to befriend, rather than obliterate, the emotions that keep our maps fixed and immutable.

We are often so convinced that we are so hurt and in pain, so much so that we opt not to forgive. Yet, as a consequence, that is what will make you weak!

The purpose of forgiveness is not to make sure that someone ends up changing into what you expect them to be, as this is dominance. The purpose is actually to make your own life better, more worthy and less stressful. Forgiveness reduces the hold that the wrongdoer has over you and empowers you.

Truth is the basis of all healing.

The truth is, forgiving is a rather simple concept to grasp. It is often imagined that when you forgive, you have to reconcile with someone and yet this is a larger team in which forgiveness is just a player.

Love, Mercy, and Grace, sisters all, attend your wounds of silence and hope.

Self-pity is spiritual suicide. It is an indefensible self-mutilation of the soul.

Distancing yourself from some painful event is probably the ignition for the process of forgiveness.

You'll never cross an emotional bridge, if you keep rushing back to the other side.

The hardest thing to ever do is to reveal the naked soul to the world. However, in doing so brings healing, growth, strength, and powerful inspiration!

We invent what we need to get us by, but in doing so we are really continuing to hold on to the pain of yesterday.

Time possesses emotional potency. For persons whom suffer from of bereavement, time possesses a healing capacity. Passage of time cures heartache by dimming the mind’s attunement to painful occurrences. For some people, the passage of time is akin to placing a welcomed physical boundary between themselves and past horrors. Passage of time allows us to forget and the ability to forget is medicinal. Time acts as a mental barrier between our present mental state and the pain that we once felt.

Don't stay too long in the shame-filled grounds of relapse. Fertile soil awaits your return and your recoverying.

God is merciful.God is faithful.

Due to the need to co-exist with these inhuman and inconsiderate people, we will obviously be disturbed by their acts; something which if we look at closely actually means that we too could be affecting some other people negatively every once in a while.

Thank you Heavenly Father. You heard my petition. You have answered my plea.May your name be glorified and be praised.

When you forgive, it does not mean that you have submitted, it simply means that you have made a choice to stop bearing any grudge.

Healing comes in many ways, and no one formula fits all.

If there ever was someone who had a control over you, someone who could cause you the greatest pain, someone who could ignore your most necessary requirements and someone for whom forgiveness were truly difficult to render, that person is none other than YOU.

Embrace life with hopeful attitude.

If you're still holding the broken pieces of glass & expecting to heal. That won't happen. To heal you first need to drop those pieces. This is how in real life you need to learn the art of letting go things that prevent your heart & soul from healing.
